My husband and I were traveling from London to New Delhi and stayed at Aashiyan Bed and Breakfast recently for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience.

What a fantastic home away from home. Wonderful hospitality, beds and rooms. charming and warm atmosphere. The room was very nicely appointed with clean linen. As for the included breakfast it was delicious. All in all a great experience. We cannot recommend this B&B enough - great breakfast, comfortable beds, clean room and best of all, warm hospitality. We will surely be going back there.

I was always very excited to travel to New Delhi but was also nervous about how I would find my way around, where would I stay, shop, as I didn’t have any friends in India. Whilst looking for a bed and breakfast in New Delhi on the website, I saw some pictures of Aashiyan B & B and decided to stay there. I travelled with two of my other friends to Aashiyan and had an amazing experience. The rooms very so clean and spacious (big change from the small rooms in London), my windows overlooked a huge green garden; the food was just awesome - we ordered some Dal Makhani (black lentils) at Aashiyan for dinner and that was mouth-watering. I could go for a jog in the morning as there is a beautiful park a few minutes away. Overall we had a great experience, Kiran (the hostess) advised us on places where we can shop for Indian handicrafts for our friends in UK, she even took us around and helped us bargain some great deals. On her advice, we were able to quickly plan a trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, she helped us with the travel arrangements and advised us on places to visit in Agra. I had a great time at Aashiyan Bed and Breakfast and we were looked after by the hosts – we are surely going back to Aashiyan Bed and Breakfast ! .

I was travelling from Toronto to Delhi for a friend’s wedding and decided to stay at Aashiyan Bed and Breakfast. The food was really great and the place was total value for money. The linen was clean, beds neatly made, the staff was very courteous. The hosts were very hospitable and I felt very comfortable at Aashiyan, Bed and Breakfast. The hosts helped me organize taxis to the wedding venue and Kiran (the hostess) also helped me tie a sari! It was good fun. I loved the food and the breakfast was lovely – great choice of food. The B&B is in a peaceful and safe area and I felt very comfortable there, I would certainly recommend staying there if you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable place with great food.

I highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast located in a very nice residential area of south Delhi. The house is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. I do also recommend it for the great hospitality of the owners. They do not hesitate to help their guests in any possible way and they will give you their precious advice about the city and the touristic places you wish to visit in India. It is a 5 star place to spend a few days in Delhi.

The care Mr. & Mrs. Singh took of us made our stay at Aashiyan, Bed and Breakfast a memory to cherish forever. We got five star comforts with the couple’s wonderful company, something one would never get in a hotel. Mr. & Mrs. Singh are immensely helpful with their insight into the matters that concern tourists.  One feels so much safe and secure in a huge city like Delhi when the Singhs are so readily accessible.  A stay at Aashiyan, Bed and Breakfast is strongly recommended for anyone looking for a true Indian home experience.

Thank you very much for your kind wishes. We also wish you a wonderful 2010. We very much enjoyed our trip and particularly also the stay at your place (Bed and Breakfast). If we return to Delhi, we will let you know. By the way, the Sag Paneer at your place was the best we had .... we were spoiled. Again, thanks a lot for your hospitality. We enjoyed it very much.

Kind regards,

Regula & Michele

This was truly a wonderful homestay experience! The room was very comfortable and pleasantly furnished, with a large bathroom and even a little balcony overlooking the nearby park. Everybody made me extremely welcome and were always happy to assist with tips on transport and interesting places to visit in Delhi. A particularly nice treat was the breakfast, both Indian and European choices were always available, and each morning I was much looking forward to enjoying a new delicacy from Kiran's kitchen. Thank you Kiran, JP and everyone!

I stayed at Aashiyan Bed & Breakfast in March 2010 during a week-long business trip to New Delhi. The location is perfect for getting to offices and attractions in South Delhi. It is situated in the Shivalik Enclave near Malviya Nagar, close to Indira Gandhi airport and many major roads to the city center (which is reached in about thirty minutes). If you're interested in shopping or seeing a movie the very modern Select City Mall complex only a ten-minute autorickshaw or taxi ride away.

Kiran Singh, the proprietor, and her husband are wonderful hosts. My room was comfortable, and the two house staff are always there to meet your needs. The daily breakfast is filling and tasty, and you can choose between Indian- or Western-style meals. The fact that Aashiyan is located within a residential enclave - albeit an upscale one - gives it a feeling of home, something I appreciated after a few weeks of staying in hotels. There is a Cafe Coffee Day (the Indian equivalent of Starbucks) within walking walking distance, and I went there often after work to chill out, read the newspaper, and plan the day ahead.

One drawback of the location, outweighed by many positives, is that it can be pretty difficult to step out onto the road and get an autorickshaw or taxi, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. It's best to call ahead by telephone, and that is easily managed.

Overall - a great stay!!! I definitely recommend Aashiyan for travelers looking to get a real, comfortable, home-stay experience in New Dehli.
